UP sets up first e-police station in Lucknow

 Lucknow : Mahanagar police station in Lucknow would be the first e-police station in Uttar Pradesh. Principal Secretary (Home) Devashish Panda said here today that the first e-police station of the state would be situated at the state crime record bureau office in Mahanagar area of the state capital. This only e-police station would be directly under the supervision of Inspector General of Police (Lawa and Order) and its juridication would be entire UP. The notification for the first e-police station was issued here today, Mr Panda said. He said that this e-police station will deal with all type of crimes related to mobile and web application or another through electronic devices. The police station will accept FIRs through emails and will register the FIRs through digital signatures of the complainants.
