Fullscreen capture 8112015 120539 AMLucknow, Aug 10 - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said his government was committed to the welfare of women and has launched a series of programme to make them financially independent and strong. “In last three years, the Samajwadi Party has launched schemes that not only empowers women financially but also helps them to bring them in the main streamline of the society,” Yadav said while speaking in a function here. He said the work done in last three years have started bearing fruits. People are now talking about the success of 1090 Women Power line. Over 5 lakh women have been benefited by this scheme. The best part of this scheme is the government is taking feedback from the aggrieved women and their response is good, he said. “Besides, instilling the confidence among the women, government has initiated scheme to empower woman head of the family financially through Samajwadi pension Scheme. The money family gets is now used in the welfare of the family as per the wish of the woman head,” he said. “This pension scheme is benefiting over 45 lakh families. To impart better education to women the government is now taking help of international voluntary organizations. Some of the NGOs are also working at the village level to educate them about health,” he said and added that Government has ensured availability of lady doctors at the rural PHCs and CHCs. The CM said the people with Samajwadi mentality have always worked for the welfare of women. During the previous Mulayam Singh Yadav regime registry of land on women’s name was made stamp duty free. Similar facility has been extended to women while taking loan from co-operative banks, '' Mr Yadav said. “This Samajwadi party Government extending the good work done by Mulayam Singh Yadav. Funds have been made available in different departments to ensure development of women,” Chief Minister said. Elaborating on other government schemes he said some people spread canard about poor paw and order situation in the state. In fact, this is the only government of the country which is working to streamline Dial 100 system, he claimed. “I want that police should reach the crime spot with 15 minutes. To make this possible government has purchased over 4,000 vehicles. We are working in this direction. The response time of ambulance has come down and people are getting this benefit,” he added.
