UP CM celebrates his 42nd birthday at low key note

PRESS 8X6 (1)Lucknow, Jul 1 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today celebrated his 42nd birthday at a low key affair with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Governor Ram Naik wishing him good health and a him long life. "Warm birthday wishes to the Chief Minister of UP Shri @yadavakhilesh. May you always remain in good health & are blessed with a long life," PM tweeted this morning. In his reply Akhilesh Yadav tweeted in Hindi, which said: "Respected Narendra Modi ji thank you very much for wishing me on my birthday." Breaking the tradition, Governor Ram Naik greeted Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on his birthday by visiting his official residence, 5 Kalidas Marg. He spent around 30 minutes there and wished Yadav a long life. Chief Minister also presented a book written by party’s national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav to the Governor. Akhilesh Yadav born on July 1, 1973 in Saifai, Etawah has completed 42 years. Though there was no official function on the occasion, CM launched Van Mahatsov' during the day besides distributing laptops to the meritorious student. “I am celebrating my birthday by planting trees. It is so good like planting trees on one's birthday," he said. There were two official functions where Chief Minister was Chief Guest but the venues were mobbed by enthusiastic party workers who had come with bouquets in their hands. During one of the functions Yadav said I am accepting the greetings and best wishes of all the party leaders. In the state party office, workers assembled since morning and extended good wishes to him. Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhury said thousands of workers took a vow to take forward the message of good governance across the state and bring the party back to power in 2017 elections. “The youth leaders said they will motivate people at the district level to apprise people of pro-people schemes government has launched. Many of the workers also greeted CM through social media like WhatsApp and Twitter,” Chaudhury, who is also cabinet minister in the government said. The leaders also cut a cake and extended good wishes to Chief Minister.
