Union Home Minister reviews Mathura situation: assures UP CM of all possible help

Lucknow  : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has assured Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav of all possible help to the state to tackle the situation of Mathura after reviewing the situation post last nights violence in which 21 people, including 2 police officers were killed. In a tweet, Mr Singh, who is MP from Lucknow, said," Spoke to UP CM Shri @yadavakhilesh and reviewed the situation in Mathura. I have also assured him of all possible help from the Centre." The Home Minister also twitted ," Anguished over the loss of lives in the incidents of violence in Mathura. May God gives strength to the bereaved families to bear the loss." Meanwhile, senior officials of the UP government including Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan, Principal Secretary (Home) Devashish Panda and DGP Javeed Ahmed have rushed to the spot. Death toll in the violence has gone up to 21 and more than 48 injured were including several policemen. On the other hand DGP Javeed Ahmed in his tweet said," huge cache of arms recovered in Mathura. 45 arms of 315 bore, two 12 bore ,one factory made 315 bore rifle, one 12 bore rifle, four 315 bore. Another tweet of the DGP says," UPP police lost two brave officers today in the line of duty. My salutations to them. We shall always remember their supreme sacrifice." Over 20 companies of PAC along with 6 companies of central forces have been rushed to Mathura while civil police from the nearby districts have also been sent to control the situation.
