Two BSF jawans killed during firing exercise, 5 injured

Two Border Security Force (BSF) troopers were killed today while five others injured when a bomb exploded prematurely during an exercise in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, an official said.


The accident took place at around 1330 hrs during an exercise being conducted in Kishangarh field firing range in Jaisalmer, about 650 km from here, BSF Inspector General B R Meghwal said.


"The injured have been brought to hospital in Jodhpur by an air force helicopter," he said. He said the jawans was practicing for the All Indian BSF weapons firing shooting completion to be held here from February 2-7.
