SP MLA revolts against its leadership in UP



Badaun : Dissidence in the ruling Samajwadi Party started surfacing in Uttar Pradesh when a local party MLA and having a state minister status Abid Raza, has openly revolted against the leadership and even threaten to resign over cow slaughter, illegal mining and corruption underway in the present Akhilesh Yadav government in the state. The SP MLA has also expressed threat on his life and even blamed Badaun MP Dharmendra Yadav, cousin of the CM, was indulged in all the irregularities including cow slaughter, illegal mining and corruption. "I will resign from the state minister status by Friday next if the irregularities were not stopped," he told reporters here today. Mr Raza, MLA representing Badaun Sadar seat, revolt has created rift among the SP leadership and now the effigy of the MLA Mr Raza were being burnt in the district. In support of Mr Yadav, several SP activists have demonstrated with raising a slogan of 'sansad ke samaan me , Muslim maiden me'. Mr Raza said if my demands were not met then I could also resign from the assembly on moral grounds. The legislator denied that he was leaving the party with saying that Mulayam Singh Yadav and Askhikesh Yadav are good persons but some white collar leaders are engaged in corruption. Meanwhile, BJP has said the revolt in the SP proves that now inner bickerings have surfaced in the party. "Charging the Saifai family by a legislator is a bug thing and now SP leadership should reply," said UP BJP spokesperson Dr Chandramohan.
