SP leader, his panchayat chairman wife expelled from party



Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party state president has expelled senior party leader Vijay Bahadur Yadav and his district panchayat chairperson wife for their alleged criminal act. Vijay Bahadur Yadav, was also arrested this morning for forcefully trying to grab farmers land in Chinnahat area of the district yesterday. Party spokesperson Rajendra Choudhury here today said the CM was annoyed over the wrong image being projected of the party by the misdeeds of Mr Yadav like persons hence have taken such strict action. Yesterday, around 10 people were injured when Mr Yadav and his supporters attacked the villagers at Baghamau village for forcefully grabbing their land. Meanwhile, Mr Yadav has termed the action as a political conspiracy against him and his wife. "My wife is totally innocent but she had been dragged in it," he said. Police here said Mr Yadav has been arrested this morning and will be sent to jail.
