Samajwadi-Party-logoLucknow, Jul 4 -Ruling Samajwadi Party has started preparing for 2017 assembly polls for which the party has decided to go for a fortnight long bi-cycle yatra in Uttar Pradesh next month. The party has decided that the cycle yatra would commence from August one and it will cover all the villages to make people aware about the achievements of the government .The cycle yatra will conclude on August 14 when public meetings would be held on every district headquarters. The decision to go for bi-cycle yatra was taken at the state Parliamentary board meeting chaired by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, who is also the state party chief. In the meeting the board expressed its satisfaction on the over three years achievement of the government. The party has also decided to hold a three days training camp of the party workers from August 21. The board members were informed that 75 per cent of the booth committees have been formed in view of the next assembly polls. These booth committees would be certified by a state level committe very soon. In another important decision, the SP state Parliamentary Board has authorised party president Mulayam Singh Yadav to name the party candidates for the legislative council polls from local bodies constituencies. SP spokesperson Rajendra Choudhry saidthe members who participated in today's meeting were Shivpal Singh Yadav, assembly speaker Mata Prasad Pandey, Ahmed Hassan,Bhagwati Singh, Balram Yadav, Awadhesh Prasad, Arvind Singh Gope and others.
