Lucknow: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Uttar Pradesh Unit President Keshav Maurya today claimed that by announcing his interest in pre-poll alliance, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has conceded defeat in the coming assembly polls.
"The inauguration of incomplete projects by the CM during the past month proves that Samajwadi Party is not returning back to power," he told the mediapersons here after horde of leaders from other political parties joined the BJP.
Prominent among those joined the BJP are BSP MLA Indrapal Singh and Congress senior leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi. Mr Maurya, commenting on the demonetisation, said Mayawati was suffering from 'Modi fobia' and hence she was making hue and cry over the issue. "People of the state are annoyed with both Mayawati and Mulayam over their stand on demonetisation and it will reflect in the coming election," he expressed.
