Lucknow:The infighting in the ruling Samajwadi Party has reached its climax as now party president Mulayam Singh Yadav taking the lead with expelling both his son and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and his cousin and party's general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav for six years.
With this action, now the fate of the CM post of Akhilesh hangs in balance though there was no such move by Mulayam to call for a legislature party meeting to elect the new leader in place of his son.
Mulayam Singh, peeved over the call to convene an emergency national delegate meet on January 1 by Ram Gopal Yadav, has expelled both Akhilesh and Ram Gopal.
Earlier both were served show cause for releasing a parallel candidates list and for speaking against the party in the media respectively.
"We will decide on the new Chief Minister of UP very soon after consulting the party leaders while the meeting of the party's national executive would be convened soon to discuss over the political situation," he told reporters here.
