Sonia to launch her UP Mission 2017 from PM's constituency on Aug 2



Varanasi : Congress president Sonia Gandhi will launch her Uttar Pradesh Mission 2017 from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency here with a big road show on August 2. Ms Gandhi, who would be in a day long visit to Varanasi, the temple city is also expected to have a darshan of Baba Vishwanath in the evening along with witnessing the famous Ganga Aarti at the Dashashamedh that before leaving for New Delhi . Senior Congress leaders Rajeshpati Tripathi, former MP Rajesh Mishra and MLA Ajay Rai said here today that it cannot be better for Congress to revive in Uttar Pradesh with a road show in PM's constituency. They said Ms Gandhi will reach Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri airport at around 1100 hrs SND from there she would start her road show atop a SUV.


Besides around 15,000 motorcycles would lead the roadshow and in the first phase would end at the circuit house. In the second phase the road show would go around the city with going through Varunapul, Nadeshar,Andhrapul, Chaukaghat, Golghadda, Pilikothi, Viviswarganj, Maidgin, Kabirachowk, lauharveera, Maldahiya and will end the statue of Pandit Kamlapati Tripathi at Englishia line. Preparation has started to decorate the entire route with erecting hundred of gates and putting up hoardings of the Congress leaders. The leaders said that after the roadshow, Ms Gandhi is also slated to hold a press conference while will have a brief interaction with the sadhus and saints of the city. Earlier, Sonia Gandhi's mother in law and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi too held a road show in the city way back.
