Shia clerics gives another deadline to accept his demands

Kalbe-Jawad-630x330Lucknow, Jul 5 - Shia Cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad today set a 22-days' deadline for Uttar Pradesh government to order a CBI probe into the UP Shia Central Waqf Board corruption case, threatenup to hold ‘Yaum-e-Faisla’ on July 28. “We met Chief Minister several times to put forth our demands related to corruption taking place in waqf properties and to remove present Chairman Wasim Rizvi but he has not responded to our demands even a single time. It took CB-CID around one-and-a-half-year to complete the probe in waqf board and Chairman and his close aides were found guilty but the probe has become joke as no action taken on the same,” Jawwad said, while talking to the reporters here . Not getting positive response from the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on his demand to remove the Chairman and CBI probe in waqf corruption, Shia Cleric had decided to open front against Samajwadi Party-led State government. He said if the behavioer of state government towards Muslim community remains the same, then they would have to pay heavy price like Congress party did in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. “This government neither benefited Muslims nor Hindus not even Yadav caste got anything expect colourful dreams,” he alleged. The cleric has announced to hold ‘Yaum-e-Faisla’ (Day of Decision) on July 28 at Hazratganj situated Shahi Masjid during which people from all over the country would be invited to press for the demands. “We want to send a clear message to state government that now this protest will not end. Now there is no going back situation until the desired result is not achieved. We do not have any problem in holding protests or going jail as now we have become used to it,” declared cleric. Alleging Chairman Waseem Rizvi of corruption charges, he said in Saharanpur district alone with the help of Chairman Waqf, properties worth Rs 450 crore was sold. Where is this all money going? the Chairman alone cannot keep such a big amount. There should be an independent probe that who all are involved in the Waqf Board corruption. Another issue raised by Shia cleric was of Bada Imambada and Chota Imambada’s religious status and also implementation of religious dress code for the tourists coming to visit the same. "A PIL was filed by the Rizvi's relative in High Court for opening the locked gates but in PIL he mentioned that Imambadas are public properties. Its in the laws of ASI and Justice Mullah’s Mohammedan Law that such buildings can only be used for religious purposes,” he said. Recently, after opening the locked gates, District Administration which manages Husainabad and Allied Trust (HAT) assured cleric that religious dress code will be implemented in Imambadas. “The religious dress code is for both male and female tourists coming to visit Imambadas. Half naked female tourists and male tourists wearing shorts and Bermudas should not be allowed inside to maintain religious sanctity of the place,” said Maulana Jawwad.
