Shahrukh evades reply on Salman’s ‘rape analogy’ remarks

New Delhi : In what could be seen as a case of ‘once bitten twice shy’, Superstar Shahrukh Khan , who has in the past stirred a controversy over his remarks on ‘intolerance’, has chosen to evade a reply on the controversial remarks on his contemporary Salman Khan. Asked to comment on the ‘rape analogy’ remarks by Salman which landed the industry heartthrob in a controversy, Shahrukh Khan chose to remain diplomatic on the issue. “In the last few years, I have realised that I made so many inappropriate comments myself. I don’t think I am someone to sit and judge somebody else’s comments to be very honest. It’s about taking sides or not taking sides. I myself say so many things, who am I to decide what one should do and what not? Whatever he wants to do, he will decide himself.

Personally speaking, I don’t think I can make anyone to be making comments on this. I am so inappropriate myself,” Shahrukh said at an event when posed a question on the controversy.
Salman recently courted controversy when he said during a media interaction that he felt like a “raped woman” walking out of a ring in his role as a wrestler in his forthcoming film Sultan.
Salman’s remarks led to huge uproar with the National Commission for Women (NCW) slapping him with a notice and asking him to appear before it on July 8. The NCW even asked the actor to render a public apology for his remarks
