School principal robbed of Rs 50,000 in train

New Delhi, Sep 3 - The principal of a Gwalior school, who was on her way to Delhi to receive the President’s Medal on Teacher’s Day, was robbed in a train today, said the police officials.


The lady, identified as Rekha Saxena, was travelling in the Samta Express train from Gwalior to Delhi.


A man, who posed himself as a hawker, allegedly knocked her out with some chemical and stole away her purse containing Rs 50,000. She was somewhere between Agra and Mathura at the time of the incident.


She was admitted to a nearby hospital and further investigation is on to nab the accused .
