sara-singh-1436472162Lucknow, Jul 13 - The demand for a high-level probe in the suspicious death of Sara Singh, daughter-in-law of jailed politician Amarmani Tripathi gained ground today when the mother and other family members of the victim met the Uttar Pradesh DGP, asking for a CBI probe into the killing. Sara's mother Seema Singh along with her brother Harsh and other family members met state DGP Jagmohan Yadav here demanding a CBI probe into the death along with Narco tests of both Amanmani and Amarmani. The victim was killed in a road accident in Sirsaganj area of Firozabad district on July 9 when she along with her husband Amanmani were going to Delhi in their car. However, Amanmani, son of Amarmani escaped the accident with minor bruises. The victim's mother said she was doubtful of the turn of events and demanded a fair probe by any specialised agency, preferably CBI, to determine the exact reasons behind her daughter's death before the DGP. "My daughter has been murdered as a local reporter in Ferozabad has informed her that the Postmortem report says that Sara was murdered three- four hours before the accident," Ms Singh alleged. " I will not allow the murderer to go free and the culprit would be punished at any cost," she said. The family also filed a complaint with DGP requesting to initiate a probe and to interrogate Amarmani and Amanmani. When reporters asked Ms Singh about rumour of her being offered Rs 20 lakh for not pursuing the case, she said, "No one in the entire world has the capability to buy me and my emotions attached to my daughter." She said Amarmani Tripathi had not accepted her daughter as his daughter-in-law and hence his involvement in the murder cannot be ruled out. She also told reporters that post her daughter's death she was told by people that Sara had three injury marks of on her body. Sara also told her mother that she wanted to get divorced with Amanmani as she could not adjust with him but he was not willing for the separation. The former UP Minister and his wife Madhumani are in jail for life term in the murder of poetess Madhumita Shukla. Amanmani too was put in the jail after the accident in a kidnapping case. Amanmani had contested the 2012 assembly polls on Samajwadi party ticket but failed to win.
