RSS to hold Ulema conference tomorrow

rssLucknow, Aug 7 - The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will organise an All India Ulema Conference here tomorrow in which religious leaders from across the country will take part. The function will be organized by Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), which had recently organised series of Iftar parties for Muslims during Ramzan across the country. These parties were attended by a large section of Muslims. RSS leader Indresh Kumar is likely to attend the conference. Manch's convener Mohammad Afzal said here today that over 1000 ulemas from across the country would be participating in this conference to be held at Ravindralaya. “The focus of the conference would be to bridge the gap between the Hindus and Muslims. ''We are always treated as anti-Muslims but the fact is we treat them as Indian first,'' Afzal said. The RSS sponsored Iftar parties, considered to be the brain child of Indresh Kumar, national convener of MRM, were a grand success in which large number of Muslims took part. Incidentally, the RSS has kept the BJP leaders out of this party and had not even invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Iftar party thrown in New Delhi on July 4. In the Ulema council meet too, the MRM plans to keep the BJP out of the limelight. Afzal told reporters here that the objective of organising this conference is to develop secular India and develop a riot, violence and hatred free environment in the country.
