Rs 2,000 note is promoting black money in the country: Akhilesh

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, continuing his attack on the Narendra Modi Government over its demonetisation move, has alleged that by bringing Rs 2,000 note, the Government was promoting the black money.
"The claim of the Centre to end the black money by scrapping Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes has boomeranged as now the Rs 2,000 note has started flourishing the black money in the country," he alleged.
Addressing a function after launching the hiked financial assistance for 'Daughter Marriage Subsidy Scheme' here at his official residence, Mr Yadav further alleged that the colour of the Rs 2,000 currency was also fading and thus questioning the security of the notes issued by the RBI.
"The economy of the country has started going reverse as the people are still standing in the queues.
The people suffering from demonetisation would certainly teach a lesson to the party behind this conspiracy," he stated.
