Rape case: Amitabh Thakur meets police CO, submit application

16af4c1Lucknow, Jul 19 -Suspended Uttar Pradesh IPS officer Amitabh Thakur and his social activist wife Dr Nutan Thakur today met police Circle Officer Gomtinagar Satyasen Yadav and submitted to him an 11 Page application in the rape allegations made by a Ghaziabad woman against them. In their application, the Thakurs have presented many facts and logic to say that ''the case is completely fabricated and is a part of larger conspiracy.'' They have named UP Mining Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, State Commission for Women Chairperson Zarina Usmani, member Ashok Pandey and a few policemen involved in this conspiracy, who are using this woman as a puppet. They said it all started with Dr Thakur’s Lokayukta complaint against Mr Prajapati and got momentum after SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s threat became public. Mr Thakur in a statement said the woman’s false case does not mention even basic facts like when Dr Thakur went to Ghaziabad, when and where the lady met her through which political leader, why the woman accepted the promise for job so easily etc. They also raised questions on her husband being an active Samajwadi Party member and being in regular touch with Prajapati’s aide Vikas Verma. They also mentioned SSI Gomtinagar Ramraj Kushwaha’s report dated May 21, 2015 given to CJM Court Lucknow which mentioned that location of woman’s mobile numbers were not found in Gomtinagar area but at Naka Hindola and Charbagh and said the rape allegations are incorrect. Police had registered an FIR against Thakur couple on rape charges after the police officer made complaint against Mr Yadav for threatening him on phone.
