Rajasthan HC directs for constituting medical board to ascertain height of police aspirant

296426-rpsc700Jaipur, Jul 20 - Rajasthan High court today directed the Superintendent of SMS Medical College to constitute a medical board and conduct the medical examination to ascertain the height of a candidate who was rejected in the constable recruitment. The Single bench of the Rajasthan High court issued the orders on a petition filed by one Vinod Kumar. Counsel for the petitioner Pushpendrapal Singh said Vinod had appeared for the recruitment of constables by Rajasthan Armed Constabulary in 2012 and cleared the physical efficiency test with the requisite minimum height of 168 cm. This was clear from the certificate of the medical jurist. However, he could not make it to the merit list. He again applied for the recruitment of constable in 2013. Having passed the written test, the petitioner was shockingly disqualified in the physical efficiency test on the ground that he does not have the minimum height of 168 cm. An appeal was also filed against it which was rejected by the authorities.
