Questions raised by Hooda on BJP functioning are totally baseless: BJP

Bhupendra_hudda_670_1407858801Chandigarh, Jul 22 -The questions raised by former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on the functioning of present BJP Government in Haryana are not only baseless and far from truth, but also reflect the level of his frustration said Jagdish Chopra, Political Advisor to Haryana Chief Minister here today. He said by issuing such misleading statements, Mr Hooda is just making an unsuccessful attempt to save his political existence. The present State Government is sensitive towards the needs and problems of every section of the society and is also committed to their welfare. The government is fulfilling its moral and constitutional responsibility of taking care of interests of every region, section and citizen. He said before leveling false allegations of lathicharge on the people by BJP government, they should have first look at themselves. Soon after taking over the reigns of administration, the Hooda Government had brutally lathicharged the innocent labourers on July 25, 2005 who were protesting peacefully in Gurgaon, in which hundreds of workers got injured. Similarly, the labourers of Liberty Company of Karnal were lathicharged in June 2006. Today, Mr Hooda is shedding crocodile tears in the name of guest teachers. Sometimes he referred to nursing students, talked about the interest of computer teachers and lab assistants and sometimes advocated for JBT teachers but he might have forgotten that he himself is responsible for their plight. The previous government not only played with the future of guest teachers but also catapulted the education system. They had adopted the ad-hoc and short-sighted policy in the recruitment of guest teachers. Despite the directions of Court, the matter was kept aside and the guest teachers had been kept in dark. Now after being out of power, they are talking about the interest of guest teachers. They forgot that when these teachers were protesting in support of their demand for fixed salary at Rohtak in September 2008 they were not only lathicharged but also suffered bullets in which one female guest teacher had lost her life. Mr Chopra said the allegation leveled by Mr Hooda that diesel is costlier in Haryana is also baseless. In Haryana, the price of diesel is Rs 50.35 per litre whereas it is Rs 50.45 per liter in Punjab and Rs 50.58 per liter in Chandigarh. Now question is where has Mr Hooda seen the board on which it is written that ‘Yahan Haryana se Sasta Tel Milta Hai’. The BJP government do not need Mr Hooda’s certificate regarding interest of farmers. Farmers of the state could themselves understand that who are their actual well wishers in real terms and who is beating the drum of being farmer friendly. Farmers’ crop was badly damaged due to untimely rains and hailstorm during March-April this year. State government stood by farmers in this critical period. The BJP government had taken significant decisions to provide immediate relief to farmers in their hour of crises. The government had increased compensation amount and released compensation of Rs 1092.20 crore. Supplementing the efforts to compensate the farmers loss, BJP government had also released pending amount of compensation announced by previous government.
