Pak firing: 8 killed, 25 injured, houses damaged, schools along IB, LoC closed

Eight civilians, including two minors, a teenager, were killed and 25 others injured in cross-border firing along the International Border in Samba and Jammu districts and Rajouri, Poonch districts today, a top official said here.
The district administrations have shutdown all the schools functional in the forward areas of border belts across the region.
'In an unprovoked firing by Pakistan initiated this early morning in four districts of Jammu region, eight civilians had died and 25, including three Army porters, injured,’’ the official said. He said that those killed included two women, a teenager and two minors.
A woman and her daughter-in-law died on the spot when a mortar fired from across the border exploded near them while they were working in Tarkhundi area of Rajouri district.
