One needs to search role models in society: Akhilesh

IMG-20150927-WA0003Lucknow, Sep 27 - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said one needs to search his role model from the society he comes from and for this the government should honour those personalities by identifying them. Mr Yadav in a function held at his official residence, for honouring different personalities who contributes for the betterment of society coming from different walks of life, said Samajwadi Party (SP) government of Uttar Pradesh was committed for honouring these personalities. Mr Yadav said the SP government was committed to provide an opportunity to these people and the youths of state, who have the will to struggle and work for the society. The Chief Minister provided a cheque to many of these ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, including the 13-year-old Harendra Singh of Noida, 15-year-old girl Sushma of Lucknow and an elderly typist of Lucknow, Krishna Kumar whose typewriter was vandalised by a policeman. Harendra Singh, who had drawn the attention of the world with his commitment towards his studies, after the news went viral on social networking websites that he was using a weighing scale to earn his livelihood and also pursued his studies during the night hours outside Noida metro station. Also present on the occasion were Political Pension Minister Rajendra Chuadhary, Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan and many other eminent personalities.
