Omar hits out at Mehbooba for taking U-turn on stone pelting  

Srinagar : Hitting out at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for accusing separatists of making Friday's a 'stone-throwing day, main opposition National Conference (NC) working president Omar Abdullah said that during his tenure she claimed that it was a result of mis-governance. “Between 2009 and 2014 she claimed this stone pelting was the result of mis-governance. Tune changed in 6 weeks,”  Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.  Mehbooba had hit out at Hurriyat Conference leaders and accused them of turning Fridays into stone-throwing events. “People were frightened to go to historic Jamia Masjid in the old city on Fridays fearing stone-throwing incidents,”  Mehbooba had said yesterday while speaking on the Motion of Thanks on Governor’s address in Legislative Council.
