Nitish's letter to PM: BJP hits back, saying he will have all the time to write letters after Bihar polls

Nitish

nitish_narendra-modiNew Delhi, Aug 5 - Instead of apologising to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for allegedly saying "casteism is in the DNA of Bihar", the BJP today launched a frontal attack, asking the former instead to apologise for distorting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks. The saffron party opened two fronts, one with writing letter for a letter, other with a series of stinging tweets ridiculing his alliance with Lalu Yadav, showdown with Dalit CM Jiten Ram Manjhi, and his failed bid at becoming the Prime Minister. Mr Kumar this morning had shot off a letter to the PM, asking him to apologise for his allegedly remark "casetism is in the DNA of Bihar," saying this has hurt the Bihari pride. BJP too shot back a letter in reply, saying it was not Bihar, but him the PM had referred to, when he said "casteism is in the DNA" of these people in his Muzaffarpur speech on July 26. "The remarks of the Prime Minister pertained to Shri Kumar's (and not that of Bihar's) political DNA (and not your or Bihar's DNA, as he has mischievously misinterpreted). ''Mr Kumar, before writing to the Prime Minister, please apologise to the people of Bihar for shamelessly distorting the words of the Prime Minister for petty political gains and humiliating Bihar in the process," the BJP said in its letter. The missive titled 'Bihar is not Nitish, Nitish is not Bihar' was signed by Ram Vilas Paswan, Upendra Kushwaha, Sushil Modi, Dr CP Thakur and none other than Mr Kumar's bete noire Mr Manjhi himself. Ridiculing Mr Kumar for being conned into thinking last elections that he will become the PM, if he broke away from the NDA, the BJP further rubbed in, "This is, however, not surprising, considering how he was tricked by a coterie into believing that he will be the Prime Minister..." The saffron party also ridiculed the alliance between senior RJD leader Lalu Yadav and Mr Kumar, forged on the single point agenda of defeating the BJP in Bihar. "The ABCD of Shri Nitish Kumar’s politics is Arrogance, Betrayal, Conspiracy and Deceit. No wonder, Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav said about him, 'Aisa Koi Saga Nahi Jisko Nitish Kumar Ne Thaga Nahi (There has been no friend, whom Nitish Kumar has not tricked) Who knows him better than dear Lalu ji," the BJP said, taunting the duo. The BJP also congratulated the Bihar CM to have found "a new vocation of writing letters to Shri Narendra Modi," and noted that he even created an exclusive website for the purpose. "Trust this is a first of many letter and rest assured, he will have all the time to write letters after November 2015," the BJP said, signalling an assured defeat in the forthcoming elections.
