Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi today charged Nitish Kumar government with misusing government fund for campaigning of his party JD(U) in the forthcoming state Assembly elections. Mr Modi said here that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had nothing to think for preparation of vision document for development of Bihar till 2025, but he preferred to launch 'Badh Chala Bihar', just when assembly elections in the state was round the corner. All such exercise under the garb of Badh Chala Bihar was being carried out to campaign for JD(U), he added. "The budge of State Public Relation Department has been hovering around Rs 7.50 crores but it was increased to Rs 90 crores for the financial year 2015-16", the former Deputy Chief Minister said, adding that the budget presented in assembly for the department mentioned Rs 90 crore as fund to be spent for special advertisement drive but what kind of advertisement was being done, was for all to see. Mr Modi said people of Bihar were not so innocent to be fooled by Chief Minister Mr Kumar who was using government fund for campaigning of his party and still claiming himself to be man of principle. In the forthcoming Assembly election, Mr Kumar was all set to bite the dust, he added.
