Mumbai: India were 451/7 in the first innings at the end of day 3 of the fourth test against England here today.
India lead England by 51 runs at stumps on day 3 with three wickets in hand.
Skipper Virat Kohli (147) and Jayant Yadav (30) remained unbeaten.
Kohli and Jayant Yadav added 87 runs for the 8th wicket valuable partnership.
Kohli 147 and Jayant Yadav's 30 remained unbeaten 348/6 at tea from 247/2 at lunch in England's first innings of 400.
Vijay scored 136, his eighth ton and second of the series, to put India in a dominating position before losing middle order batsman quickly before Kohli took control.
For England Joe Root Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid took 2 wickets each.
Kohli struck his 15th hundred, in his 89th innings and 52nd Test, also completing 4000 runs, 1000 in 2016, in the process.
He also became the highest run getter of the year across all formats with 2492 runs and the sixth fastest Indian to achieve the 4000 mark
