MPPEB scam: CBI registers FIR

2015_7$largeimg09_Jul_2015_132033710Bhopal, Jul 29 - The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a first information report (FIR) against 18 people in connection with alleged irregularities in the Forest Guard Recruitment Test. It was conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) popularly known by its Hindi acronym Vyapam -- in 2012, CBI sources said. The FIR was registered against the accused yesterday. Besides, a preliminary inquiry was also registered over the "unnatural" death of Brijesh Rajput (25) -- a resident of Jabalpur-based Rajput Veterinary College -- who had died on October 22. On the directions of the Supreme Court, the CBI took over the investigation in the MPPEB scam, including the related deaths, recently.
