MP Minister falls ill, hospitalised

Bhopal :  Public Health Engineering and Jail Minister and Damoh District Incharge Kusum Mehdele was flown to the state capital and admitted to a private hospital here after she suddenly fell ill this morning. “Ms Mehdele began coughing and vomiting blood at around 0400 hrs this morning. She was provided immediate treatment by Civil Surgeon BR Agrawal and Dr Diwakar Patel. Later, she was sent to the state capital in a helicopter at around 1100 hrs,” Damoh District Collector Sriniwas Sharma told UNI over telephone. Meanwhile, sources close to the minister said that she has been admitted to a private hospital here and her condition is stable. Exact nature of her illness would be known after reports of medical tests arrive.
