MP governor should go: Sakshi

IndiaTv35de0b_sakhsimaharajEtah, Jul 13 - Defending Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in the Vyapam scam, BJP MP from Unnao Sakshi Maharaj today demanded resignation of MP Governor Ram Naresh Yadav on his name being dragged in the scam. "It is high time for Mr Yadav to resign after Supreme Court has also made a remark on him," he said. Sakshi Maharaj claimed that Mr Singh has made the state a ' heaven' and now after recommending a CBI probe into the scam, the CM has sticked to his high moral ground. Talking to mediapersons, the BJP MP charged the Akhilesh Yadav government with targeting senior IPS officer Amitabh Thakur. "The IPS officer was facing 'step-motherly' treatment as he is from Bihar and belonged to a backward caste. If Mr Thakur had been from minority, upper caste or even from a particular backward caste, then he could not have suffered such harassment," he stated. Sakshi Maharaj, supported the demand of Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh, to remove 'Adhinayak' word from the National Anthem. "A political debate is required on the matter as it was serious that country should shed the words used to glorify the Britishers," he said.
