Modi was benefitting his industrialist friends through demonetisation: Kejriwal

Lucknow: Terming demonetisation as a pre-planned move by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to benefit industrialist friends, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the BJP led central government wants to use public’s hard earned money to waive off big loans given to industrialist friends. “Its not me who is claiming that the corporate houses have loan of Rs 8 lakh crore but it was revealed in the recent report of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Now the Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants waive off those loans through demonetisation. In last one year Rs 1.14 Lakh crore was waived off but not even a single loan of farmers, traders or common man was waived off,” said Kejriwal while addressing a public meeting at Refa-e-Aam club ground here today. The AAP Convener had claimed to have proofs against the Prime Minister of taking bribe from the industrialist friends while holding the office of Chief Minister of Gujarat. “I used to think that Narendra Modi is not a corrupt person but when I came across the papers which were recovered from the industrialist friends by the Income Tax department during raids, it was a shocker moment. In these documents it has been mentioned that more than Rs 50 crore was taken in year 2013 from industrialist friends. After assuming power in centre why the investigation was not done. It means he had taken bribe,” he alleged. Speaking on money stored in the foreign banks, Kejriwal said I have seen the file which is with the PM, in that file there were names 648 persons whose money is stored in the foreign banks. This file was made in 2011 during UPA regime. If the central government takes action against all 648 persons all the corruption and black money will come to an end by the evening. “But the PM will not take action as in the list there were names of his industrialist friends. Even Mahesh Shah who declared income of Rs 13000 crore said on channels that it was not his money and he will tell names of industrialists to IT officers to whom all this money belongs. But see the apathy IT department officials are not asking anything from him,” he added. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had opened front against the demonetisation since the announcement was made by the Prime Minister. Since then it has highlighted the problems face by the common people, traders, and farmers for getting cash from the banks. Speaking on it, Kejriwal said demonetisation plan was made by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah where first they cornered their black money and then informed industrialist friends as well as BJP leaders. They bought land and bikes and a BJP leader posted the picture of Rs 2000 note on twitter a day before demonetisation. Attacking the PM, Kejriwal advised him to do some sacrifice first rather then asking the countrymen to do it. He said the nationals are being asked to go for cashless transactions but the PM himself is traveling and changing dresses frequently. Not matter what happens do not vote for BJP in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha Elections 2017 in the state.
