Lucknow : Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati strongly condemned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah’s statement of forming government like the one during former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh's regime. Ms Mayawati demanded him to immediately tender apology of making such statements which had hit the public sentiments. "Kalyan Singh’s government was involved in unconstitutional work during 1992 for which the BJP government was sacked by the Apex Court and Mr Singh was held guilty," pointed Ms Mayawati while reacting strongly to Shah’s statement made during a rally in Etawah today.. "Shah’s statement has hurt the sentiments of 22 crore people of Uttar Pradesh so the BJP president must immediately tender apology for his statement," she said. She further hit Shah over his statement that both Samajwadi Party and BSP could not improve law and order situation in the State. "The law and order condition in national capital as well as all other states run by BJP is very bad and every where the poor and Dalits have to bear the atrocities, minorities are facing riots, and no one is feeling safe," asserted BSP supremo while claiming that BSP had given the best law and order where all the criminals were in jail and people were living without any fear. Interestingly, Ms Mayawati also attacked BJP on safety on the border areas. "Mr Shah claims that international borders during Narendra Modi’s rule now are most safe is not correct as everyone knows that how firing was taking place everyday on border and due to wrong policy of the National Democratic Alliance government, several army personnel and other civilians were killed," she said. The BSP chief said just like the people were fed up with corruption and wrong policies during Congress regime and taught them lesson in 2014 elections, the BJP will also face the same fate as the people have fully understood that they were cheated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the name of bringing in `Achche Din’ for them. She claimed that in the coming Assembly elections, the BSP is going to form government will full majority.
