Lucknow Metro inauguration controversy: BJP leaders, ministers not invited

Lucknow: After Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated the trial run of the Lucknow Metro this morning, a controversy broke out with the BJP alleging that the Samajwadi Party government was trying to take credit for the project despite the Centre being a part of it.
Not inviting the Central ministers and the local BJP MP and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has irked the Central government and the BJP leaders of the state.
In the advertisement published in the media today, only the Chief Minister's name features in the inauguration programme.
However, in an apparent retaliation, Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu would be laying the foundation stone for several rail projects in the state capital tomorrow in presence of local MP and the Union Home Minister.
Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra, who is participating in the Parivartan yatra of the BJP in Pratapgarh, alleged that the act of the UP government clearly shows its biased attitude.
