_82620725_82620724Dehradun, Jul 19 - Landslide claimed its eight victim this rainy season in Pithoragarh district when a woman died after being hit by stones while cutting grass in Sandrathi village of Munsiyari block today. The quake, that hit Uttarakhand this morning at 0518 hrs, kept panic-stricken people out of their homes for quite some time in Chamoli district. Meanwhile, the Rishikesh-Badrinath NH 58 was blocked this evening after landslide at Kodia, even as life was affected, especially in rural hilly areas of many districts, as roads remained cut off due to debris for several days now. According to State Emergency Operations Centre, the pilgrimage to Kedarnath continued smoothly today as there was let up in rains. There was an increase in photometric registration of pilgrims as well after a dip during the continuous rains over the past few days.
