Kohli doing well as a skipper and batsman: Jayasuriya


New Delhi - Former Sri Lanka cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya heaped praise on Indian test skipper Virat Kohli applauding that the skipper is executing his task well.

The legendary cricketer, on the sidelines of 3rd season openings of STAIRS School Football League (SSFL) along with Union Sports Vijay Goel said here,"Virat Kohli is doing well both as a skipper and as a batsman.
Overall as a player, I think Kohli is performing very well."

Commenting on team India, Jayasuriya said, "At present the Indian Cricket Team is performing well in every department of the game - whether it is batting, bowling or fielding."

Further, the southpaw along with Goel inaugurated the 3rd season the league (SSFL), which will witness more than 30,000 school level footballers from 2000 schools of Delhi & Gujarat participating in the tournament.

Notably, Jayasuriya has been named as the brand ambassador of the football league, which will witness 250 matches played during the entire programme.
