Khattar directs PWD officers to coordinate with NHAI to accelerate works on NHs

Chandigarh : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today directed the Public Works (Building and Roads) Department officers to coordinate with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to get the pace of ongoing works on national highways accelerated in the state. Mr Khattar, who was presiding over a meeting to review the progress of works of national highways here today, exhorted the officers to put in sincere efforts to get these works completed on time. The Chief Minister said the present government is very keen to further strengthen the infrastructure and connectivity in the state and it has taken many initiatives in this direction. He also directed them to examine and revise room rates in all Guest houses of the department keeping in view the expenditure being incurred on day-to-day maintenance. It was informed in the meeting that the work was in progress at NH-1 from Delhi to Ambala, NH-2 from Delhi to Faridabad-Hodal, NH-8 from Ambience Mall, Gurgaon to Kheri, NH-65 from Ambala to Hisar-Rajgarh, NH-10 from Bahadurgarh to Dabwali, NH-73 from Yamunanagar to Panchkula and NH-71 from Narwana-Jind to Rewari.
