Kejriwal to meet Iqlakh's family at Dadri

A day after he called the Dadri lynching incident as an outcome of divisive politics in the country, Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will today meet the family of Iqlakh, the 50 year old who was killed in an attack by a mob here over rumours that the family had consumed beef.

The meeting of Kejriwal, who will be accompanied by Deputy chief Minister Manish Sisodia and several senior AAP leaders.

'On Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, let us pledge to put an end to divisive politics. Beef ban murder a result of divisive politics. Let us stop this,' Mr Kejriwal tweeted yesterday.

Fifty-year-old Iqlakh died and his son was seriously injured after a mob entered their house in Dadri and attacked their family over rumours that they had consumed beef on Monday night.

The incident has evoked wide condemnation. The AAM aadmi party has demanded the sacking of tourism minister Mahesh Sharma over his remark that the Dadri incident was an accident.
