Srinagar:  Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (LA) was today adjourned for half-an-hour following protests by entire opposition demanding presence of media in the House during the proceedings. As soon as the House assembled on the first day of the four-day special session called to implement Good and Services Tax (GST), entire opposition, including National Conference (NC), wearing black badges on their arms, Congress and Communist Party of India (M) members protested against the media gag. Where is the media, the opposition members were shouting, a NC member Abdul Majeed Larnoo told UNI outside the House. The opposition members warned that House proceedings would not be allowed until media, including electronic and photo-journalists, are allowed to cover the proceedings, he said. He said Speaker Kavinder Gupta later adjourned the House. Earlier, entire media walked out from the House and decided to boycott the House proceedings in protest against not allowing video and still cameras besides mobile phones inside.
