Kakori :  Accusing the SP, BSP and Congress of working on vested interest based agenda, the Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah today asserted 'installation of his party led Government in Lucknow can only bring about development in Uttar Pradesh'. "A jungle raj is prevailing in the state under the SP regime as the ruling party is working only for a particular caste while BSP has been identified as a symbol of corruption," Mr Shah alleged. "The Centre has limited powers to intervene in the state's matters, hence BJP government is essential for the all round development of the state," he further stated. Mr Shah, who was here in the land of the revolutionaries and martyrs who laid the supreme sacrifice for the Independence, said ''Kakori would be developed as a national tourist centre to aware the youths about the sacrifice made by martyrs.'' "I will talk to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to develop Kakori as a tourist spot," he said addressing a gathering at a programme called 'Azadi 70, Yaad Karo Kurbani' at the Shahid Park here. Shah also launched here the party's Tiranga Yatra programme. Earlier UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on August 9, the anniversary of the Kakori train robbery, had announced Rs 5 crore development project for the place. "Our party plank of 'Saabka Saath, Saabka Vikas' would be realised in the state, once it comes under our party rule", he claimed. Attacking the rivals he alleged that the BSP minted money for its own purpose during its previous regime while the SP had promoted goonda raj. Targeting the Congress, Mr Shah said the party which has been ruled by a family for 60 years did nothing and there is dire need of augmentation of drinking water supply , power and strengthening of road network in the country.


calling upon people, particular youth to respect freedom fighters, the BJP chief said," youth should honor and respect our freedom fighters who had sacrificed their lives for freedom from the English rule". He recalled sacrifices and contribution of revolutionaries and freedom fighters including Subhash Chandra Bose, Rani Laxmi Bai, Mahatma Gandhi saying their role would be remembered for ever'' Before addressing the function, Mr Shah paid floral tributes to Chandrashekhar Azad and his colleagues. UP BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya, state general secretaries Swatantra Dev Singh and Vijay Bahadur Pathak along with other senior party leaders were present at programme. Earlier, Mr Shah held a discussion with the state BJP leaders at the airport. Famous Kakori train robbery was committed on August 9, 1925 by revolutionaries of the Hindustan Republican Party for garnering funds for the cause of national movement. The robbery plan was executed by Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, Rajendra Lahiri, Chandrashekhar Azad, Sachindra Bakshi, Keshab Chakravarty, Manmathnath Gupta, Murari Lal Khanna, Mukundi Lal and Banwari Lal.
