Inspired by PM, 5 US students arrive to learn Hindi

Interestingly, students are being aided by Hindi songs in this endeavour. Mr Rajo Upadhyay, a lecturer in a private college, who is mentoring these students, is transcribing Hindi songs in Roman dialect to help them. He told UNI that the students -- Samuel, Monica, Elfroza, Liyam and Loren -- would stay here for 10 months. In this period, they would try to understand Indian culture, history and traditions. Crediting the Prime Minister for increasing the dignity of Hindi in the world, Mr Upadhyay said curiosity has enhanced among students to understand the language. In her broken Hindi, Loren explains that Mr Modi has shown the whole world the way to be healthy through Yoga. However, she feigned ignorance when asked about Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi. Narrating her experience, Monica said she has begun to relish the taste of Indore cuisine. Expressing her desire to understand Indian culture, she said she has decided to lodge in the house of a local student instead of a hostel.
