India wins toss and elected to bat in 2nd test versus New Zealand

Kolkata : Captain Virat Kohli won toss for India and elected to bat in the 2nd Test against New Zealand at Eden Gardens here today.
The Kiwis, which are already one down in the 3-Test series after a defeat in the first Test in Kanpur, received another blow when their skipper Kane Williamson has been ruled out because of an illness.
Williamson has been suffering from fever and stomach upset bug since yesterday.
India made two changes bringing in top order batsman Shikhar Dhawan in place of injured KL Rahul and pacer Bhuwaneswar Kumar replacing Umesh Yadav.
Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir did not find place in the side, that lead by Virat Kohli.
A win at the iconic Eden Gardens can put India atop the ICC Test Rankings ahead of Pakistan.
