HC asks UP govt to think on setting Waqf tribunal in districts

Allahabad High Court_0Allahabad, Aug 14- The Allahabad High Court today asked the Uttar Pradesh government to think on setting Waqf Tribunal in districts other than Rampur by setting up a committee of officers. During the hearing, advocate general Vijay Bahadur Singh told court that representatives of Shia, Sunni waqf board, Chief Secretary, Principal secretary of few departments have been made members of this committee. The court ordered the committee to present their report within six weeks. The orders was ruled by the court comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice Yashwant Verma. The next hearing on the case has been fixed for October 1.
