Haryana gears up to organise Gita Jayanti Samaroh on grand scale

Chandigarh, Dec 13 - Haryana is gearing up to organise Gita Jayanti Samaroh-2015 on a grand scale in the entire state with the state-level samaroh to be organised in Kurukshetra from December 17 to 21.


For the first time, the event would be organised in every district of Haryana from December 19 to 21, an official spokesperson said today.


Giving detailed information about the programmes to be organised during the three-day event, he said that it would be inaugurated with ‘Sampoorna Gita Parayana’ by 1,100 people at Purushottampura Baag, Brahma Sarovar, at 10:00 am on December 17, in the presence of Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki.


A state level exhibition would be inaugurated at Uttari Parikrama, Brahma Sarovar, at 5:00 pm and ‘Abhimanyu-Nritya Natak’ would be presented by Ms. Sangeeta Sharma at Purushottampura Baag, Brahma Sarovar, at 6:00 pm.


The official said that on December 18, Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain would be the chief guest and ‘bhajan sandhya’ would be presented by singer Anup Jalota.


Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kanwar Pal would be the chief guest on December 19 and Ms. Ranjana Gauhar would present ‘Geet Govindam-Nritya Natika’ on the occasion.


Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma would be the chief guest in the function to be held on December 20, and ‘bhajan sandhya’ would be presented by singer Sardool Sikander, he added.


The spokesperson said that the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would participate in ‘Saamoohik Virat Gita Paath’ and ‘Deep-Daan’ Samaroh at 5:00 pm on the concluding day on December 21. On the occasion, ‘Bhagavad Gita on Wheels’ would be organised, which has been conceptualised and choreographed by Sallauddin Pasha.
