Lucknow: Enthused with the landslide victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP has drawn up an elaborate programme to celebrate the centenary birth anniversary of party's ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhaya in a big way in the state.
The first programme would be for a fortnight from May 10 to 25 when around 20,000 dedicated workers would camp in 13,000 sectors in the state for 15 days to highlight the ideology and programmes of the Central as well as the state governments.
The party has also constituted an eleven-member Deen Dayal Upadhaya Janam Shatabdi committee which includes state party president and UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, state minister Rampati Shastri, Sunil Bansal, besides two general secretaries Vijay Bahadur Pathak and Ashok Katiyar.
There is also a sub-committee of six members, headed by Vijay Bahadur Pathak to look into the preparation for the fortnight long programme starting from May 10.
Mr Pathak told UNI here today that during the 15 days stay of over 20,000 dedicated workers in the 13,000 sectors, they will go to all the polling booths and hold mass communication drive with the people besides interact with the people to aware them about the policies and schemes of the Centre as well as the state government.
