Free now, feeling as king of kings

New Delhi:  In an apparently stoic yet stinging comments on today’s show of ‘’unity’’ at the mega silver jubilee celebrations of the strife-torn Samajwadi Party at Lucknow, its ousted leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav today said he was feeling as ‘’king of kings’’ being out of the party. "I am free now. It is good that both the victor and the vanquished are at one platform,’’ Mr Yadav told UNI when asked how he saw today’s events at Lucknow. Prof Ram Gopal Yadav, who is a cousin of party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and mentor of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, was recently expelled from the party in the war between Akhilesh and his uncle Shivpal Yadav for the party control. He quoted a Hindi couplet (doha) from famous 16th poet Rahim to convey that he was no more concerned about what he had left behind.
