murderShamli, Jul 6 - Assailants who came in a blue-beacon fitted car, entered the house of a farmer and shot him dead in Jhijna area of this Uttar Pradesh district today. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vinod Kumar Mishra said five criminals came on a blue beacon-fitted car and shot dead a 48-year-old farmer Hem Singh Chauhan at Kherikhushnama village. Family dispute is said to be the reason behind the murder. Sources said the criminals entered the house claiming themselves to be policemen, chose Hem Singh and killed him. Family members of the deceased alleged that his cousins were involved in the crime as Hem Singh was the lone witness to the murder of his younger brother Eshwar Singh and his cousins were allegedly involved. The culprits fled the scene after committing the crime.
