Patna : Amid tight security arrangement after Dhaka terror attack, Eid was today celebrated with traditional fervour in Bihar with lakhs of Muslims offering Namaz at various locations and mosques across the state. Elaborate security arrangements have been made across the state to foil any attempt of miscreants and anti- social elements to disturb the peace and harmony in any part of the state. Extra security measures have been taken in view of recent Dhaka terror attack. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna to personally extend greetings to Muslims who offered Namaz in large numbers on the occasion. "Eid comes after one month of day long fasting observed during Ramzan and it is an occasion to celebrate together with love, peace, harmony and brotherhood", Mr Kumar said while extending greetings on the occasion. Governor Ram Nath Kovind, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Deputy chief minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav and other Cabinet ministers also greeted the people on the occasion. Reports of celebrations also continued to pour in from other parts of the state.
