Hyderabad: DataWind, the leader in delivering Internet access to emerging markets, intends to set up its third manufacturing facility in Eastern states.
The company already has a first facility in Amritsar and second one was inaugurated here today.
However, the third facility will come up in Eastern states and likely to be by next year, Company CEO Suneet Singh Tuli told reporters on the sidelines of inaugurating of a new facility at GMR complex.
This would help potential manufacturers meet the country's increasing requirements which would be spurred by the growing digitization, he said and adding that we expect double digit growth for both handset and tablet manufacturing.
The company would launch 4G data SIMs, with the price ranging from Rs 20 soon to tap untouched population in the country, the CEO said the company had already applied for a virtual network operator license.
The data card will offer unlimited browsing and will be cheaper for the users compare to other networks, he added.
