Dadri lynching was pre-planned: UP Congress

The Uttar Pradesh Congress committee today here said that the Dadri lynching case was a pre-planned conspiracy to divide communities by increasing the communal tension.

UP Congress spokesperson Amarnath Agarwal here said that lynching of Mohammad Akhlaq was very unfortunate and deplored the act. He said now it was very clear that the Uttar Pradesh government and BJP were trying to increase communal tension in the state.

Earlier an environment was created to disturb the communal harmony by giving a disturbing speech from loud speaker in western Uttar Pradesh, Mr Agarwal said, adding that UP government did not take lessons from the Muzaffarnagar riots. This, he said, was done in the view of panchayat election in UP by the BJP and Samajwadi Party, so that votes can be bifurcated.
