mp_police_logoBhind, MP, Jul 24 - A constable has been suspended on the charge of locking up a driver for three days without any crime and beating and torturing him up, police said. Constable Raghuraj Singh Tomar, who is posted at Nayagaon Police Station, hired a loading vehicle from Morena-resident driver Satyendra Singh Bhadoria a few days ago. However, the constable got angry when the driver took hiring charges from him. Initially, Raghuraj got Satyendra locked up in Porsa Police Station in Morena on the charge of possessing illegal weapons. Later, he took him from his house on July 20 and brought him to Nayagaon Police Station, where he incarcerated him for three days and thrashed him brutally. In protest against the matter, Satyendra’s family members and other villagers gheraoed the police station yesterday following which he was released. Later, the victim met Superintendent of Police Navneet Bhasin, who suspended Raghuraj. A case was also registered against him in Kotwali Police Station.
