Constable held taking bribe, TI line attached

 Indore : A constable was caught red-handed by Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta’s Special Police Establishment while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,500, last night, Lokayukta sources said. “Constable Aziz Gauri, who was posted at Central Kotwali Police Station, had demanded a bribe from one Vaibhav Rane for presenting a favourable chargesheet in connection with a case registered against him,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police (Lokayukta) BS Parihar. On the basis of a complaint by Mr Rane, Lokayukta laid a trap and arrested the constable while accepting the bribe last night. A case was registered against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Deputy Inspector General of Police Santosh Singh has suspended the constable and line attached town inspector Brajesh Singh Kushwaha.
